Alyce’s Greenie (Green Smoothie) Keto Version

My general weekday breakfast is a Greenie (green smoothie), which I take to work and sip throughout the morning.  Last winter however, I experimented with updating my basic Greenie to a richer more Ketogenic version and I noticed almost immediately a difference.

Interestingly, I found that my newer version now took the edge off of my usual stressful morning.   My usual wired, edgy self was seriously replaced with inner calm and cool. Not much seemed to rattle me any more.  A scientific explanation for this new and better mood simply points to fewer blood sugar spikes and a more evenly balanced blood sugar level in general, which helped to stabilize my mood.

My new Keto version adds in Coconut Oil creating an even creamier, more delicious, lighter green shake.  Coconut Oil is comprised of Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCFA), which help to heal leaky gut by producing tight junction function.

This new Keto Greenie is also super rich in B & C Vitamins, Magnesium, Omega Fatty Acids, and soluble Fiber.

It’s a nourishing, and hydrating meal in a glass.  Here’s to Gut Health!
